Nice post. Thanks for linking to it. I agree. We're all weird and wired in our own unique way.

(And it takes one to know one:-))

I think Melissa has us pegged!

The notion that blogs are a venue for expression that appeal to certain types seems true.

With multiple channels for communication and connecting arising in our technology driven markets; knowing who likes what kind of media will play a part in branding strategies.

Thanks for including me in your circle of blogger types!

What can I say? Guilty as charged.

Hi Dr. Kirk!
Thank you for linking to my post. Since you're in the education bz, perhaps you can help me--this is off-topic, sorry. Today I met a 17 year old girl whose vocabulary was worse than my 7 year old. She did not know what the word "fiery" meant. Actually, she couldn't say the word at all. How is it possible that a Senior in High School could be semi-literate with the new laws demanding testing?

Thanks again for the link!

Melissa

P.S. Doesn't this comment just prove the point? I am a total nerd.

Delaney Kirk

Thanks, Melissa, for coming by to comment. I think your question links to my post on the 19th regardless some groups that want us to "dumb down" spelling. Scary.

Another interesting profile is from my students when they find out that I have a blog. First, they realize that I truly am a tech geek and second, they want to share their blogs with me. Blogging seems to be a open door for more conversation - as Mike Sansone always says!

So is there a 12 step program for those of us who have become perhaps a little obsessive/compulsive about writing on our blogs and reading other people's blogs?
