Here's an article to share with your students that states that essentially interviewers want to know only three things:
Can you do the job? In other words, do you have the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position?
Will you love the job? Are you self-motivated? Will you be able to find meaning in what you will be doing?
Can we tolerate working with you? Will you be a good fit for our organization? Do you share our values and vision?
